The City of Los Alamitos has contracted Hirsch & Associates, Inc. for the design and development of an exciting project aimed to rehabilitate Sterns Park. The conceptual drawing (as seen below) is currently in planning stages but will feature an all-inclusive playground for school age children of all capacities to enjoy. Additionally, the park will see a facelift across various types including a brand new shade structure with picnic benches for small gatherings, improved accessibility addressing ADA standards, modern and efficient lighting, attractive and fully functional exercise equipment for all ages with accessible stations on rubberized surfaces, fresh looking landscaping, and much more! The project is anticipated to conclude in the Spring of 2024. Funding for this project is made possible through partial split monies from Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Measure Y.
