Visiting U.S. Marine Corps Units to Conduct Training Exercises and Flight Operations at Los Alamitos Army Airfield

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. – Visiting U.S. Marine Corps units will be engaged in training exercises conducted at Los Alamitos Army Airfield from December 5 through December 9. This training will include air operations involving military helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. The routine training is designed to maintain overall operational readiness and proficiency of the units involved in the mission. The majority of activity associated with these exercise will be conducted during normal airfield
operating hours. However, residents of communities located near the base may hear the sound of aircraft arriving and/or departing the airfield during the evening of Wednesday, December 9. Efforts will be taken to minimize inconvenience to our neighbors associated with these training exercises during evening hours.
