Proposed Increase of Water Rates by Golden State Water

In July, Golden State Water Company filed an application with the California Public Utilities Commission (PUC) to increase revenues. Ratepayers opposed to the increased rate proposal should phone, mail, or email their comments to the CPUC Public Advisor.  When filing your protest, be sure to reference GSWC’s Application No. 11-07-017.

On April 16, 2012 the City Council adopted Resolution 2012-08, in support of Senate Bill1364.  SB1364 would amend the Public Utilities Code making transactions made by private water companies more transparent and giving ratepayers opportunities to gain greater involvement in the rate adjustment process.
