CPRS District 10 Volunteer Merit Award Recipient

California Parks and Recreation Society (CPRS) is a state-wide organization for parks, recreation, and community services agencies and is broken up into districts. The city of Los Alamitos is a member of District 10 which incorporates all of Orange County and parts of Los Angeles County.  The annual CPRS District 10 Banquet was held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Rio Hondo Golf Course in Downey and Friday Night Lights Flag Football and the Los Alamitos Senior Club President – Teri Nugent was honored with the 2018 Volunteer Merit Award.

The Los Alamitos Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Commission nominated and voted for FNL and Teri Nugent to receive the distinction.  The Volunteer Merit Award recognizes an individual or organization for their contribution to the community.  FNL has given hundreds of youth volunteer opportunities and has supported several local organizations such as the City of Los Alamitos, the Los Alamitos Unified School District, and National Charity League to name a few.  Mrs. Teri Nugent has devoted countless number of hours for the last three years to the Los Alamitos Senior Club.  Teri has supported and promoted all senior City activities from Senior Exercise, Senior Lunch, Senior Grocery Program, and the annual Senior Prom.
