Mark Chirco currently serves as a Council Member of Los Alamitos. He is a longtime resident of Los Alamitos. Like so many other local families, he moved to Los Alamitos for the great schools and fell in love with the city and its small town charm.
Mark has an undergraduate degree from UCLA and a law degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He has been a practicing attorney for more than 13 years and is employed as a corporate lawyer. He also volunteers at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (“CHOC”) and was a recipient of the Wiley W. Manual Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services related to his work at CHOC.
Mark was a member of the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Commission until he joined the City Council in December, 2017. He has also been an AYSO coach for the last two years and is a member of the Los Alamitos School PTA. In addition to serving on City Council, Mark currently serves on the Orange County Library Advisory Board, the Los Alamitos Budget Standing Committee and the Los Alamitos Zoning Code Update Committee and he will be serving on the Board of the Orange County Mosquito Vector Control District later this year.
