1. Do you have rooms available for rent?
YES
. The Community Center is available for anniversaries, wedding receptions, banquets, business meetings large or small. For more information, please call (562)430-1073.

2. How do I reserve a picnic area?
Little Cottonwood Park is the only site that has a shelter area which can be reserved. For more information, please call (562)430-1073.

3. What types of programs do you offer?
The Los Alamitos Recreation & Community Services Department offers a wide range of programs for youth, adults and older adults including aquatics, sports leagues, preschool programs, exercises classes, arts & crafts, dance, and other special interest classes.  Numerous special events are held throughout the year as are travel opportunities.  A wide variety of services are offered for old adults.

4. How can I get a schedule of classes?
Our brochure is printed quarterly and includes the City Newsletter. If you would like an activity brochure sent to you, please call (562) 430-1073.

5. How do I sign up for a class?
If you have one of our brochures, a registration form is included in the publication. You may mail the registration form in, fax the form to us or you may come into the Community Center which is located at 10911 Oak St . For your convenience we have a drop box, which is located at the front entrance to the Community Center. If you arrive after 5:30pm, just attach your payment to your registration form and drop it in.

6. Where are you located?
The Community Center is located at 10911 Oak Street , Los Alamitos , 90720 , just off of Katella, west of Los Alamitos Blvd. , and east of the 605 fwy.

7. What are some of the other Los Alamitos based sports organizations?

8. Do you need volunteers?
We welcome volunteers and have many types of volunteer opportunities available in youth, adult or senior programming. Contact the Recreation & Community Services Department at (562) 430-1073.

9. How do I become a contract class instructor?
If you are interested in teaching a class or have an idea for a class, we are very interested!   Call us and request a Class Proposal Form. We can be reached at (562) 430-1073.

10. Where are your parks located?
Please visit our facilities page to get exact locations of the parks within the City of Los Alamitos . You’ll also be able to get directions and find out about the parks’ amenities.

11. Do you have programs for seniors?
The Los Alamitos Seniors’ Club, Inc. offers many programs for adults 55 and over. Clubs, classes, excursions, nutritional dining, social services and special events are but a few. Please call us at (562) 430-1073 for additional information.

12. Dogs in the park?  Yes, dogs are allowed at the park. They must be on a leash at all times and you must pick up after them.
