- Ted Z and the Wranglers: Ted Z and the Wranglers, of Southern California, deliver heartfelt ballads and gritty grassroots rock ‘n’ roll with a cowboy kick. Their folky story-telling songs convey themes of love, politics, environmentalism, childhood imagination, and the rawness of humanity. The concept of the band came to Ted Zakka (lead singer, guitarist, former bassist of Handsome G) in a burst of songwriting during a break from his former band. Ted called upon old friends Mike Layton (guitar, harmonica) and Professor Dan Mages (bass) and enlisted Mike Myers (drums, harmony vocals) to complete the new group. Layton now shares lead guitar duties for the Wranglers with Guitar Center blues competition titleholder Jackson Leverone. Together, these players meld Southwestern romanticism, cultural awareness, and rollicking good times to get audiences dancing and leave them hungry for more.
- Random: Random is a pop/rock band from Los Alamitos that was formed out of a network of friends from Rossmoor Elementary School. Members of the band are Jack Levin (vocals and bass), Elijah Vann (drums), Maximilian Guardi (guitar), Lexi Luyben (vocals), and Katherine Roberts (Keyboards and vocals). The boys are all eleven years old and the girls are thirteen years old. The band started out by ss Steak and Sushi house, Cypress festival, Huntington Beach Pier, the Los Alamitos Winter Wonderland and Dipiazza in Long Beach. The kids also were crowned the winners of Parks Foundation battle of the middle school bands in 2013. Not only were they the youngest to ever participate, but also the youngest to ever win. Audiences are usually skeptical when these young musicians get up on stage. But Random never fails to drop a few jaws once they start performing.Check them out at:
- Woodie and the Longboards:Beach Boys Tribute-rated number 1 in America today by gigmasters.com…get ready to limbo downWoodie and the Longboards was begun in 2002 by John “Woodie” Keating. Having just left a position as frontman for a Disney house band, John assembled musicians he had enjoyed working with over the years to focus on performing music from the 60’s and 70’s. This gave rise to “That 70’s Band” and “That 60’s Band”. An agent from the Pacific Northwest asked if we had a more “beachy” sounding name that he could use to book us as a Beach Boys Tribute for an Oregon Casino. John quickly decided on Woodie and the Longboards, we played Oregon, and have never looked back. Since that time we have performed Beach Party themed shows for a variety of clients across the country, but still perform mostly in Southern California. The Longboards have changed every so often (you can see it in our pictures), always leaving on great terms, always because of the travel commitments of the band.
