Los Alamitos Senior Lunch and Bread Program
Volunteer, or just come for lunch! The Senior Lunch Program is available Monday – Friday to all persons 60 years of age and over, and their spouses of any age (including caregivers). Enjoy playing bingo, trivia and card games, listening to live music and get some great information on insurance, estate planning and more from our sponsors. Donations are suggested at $3 and lunch is served on a first-come, first-served basis. Meal cost for guests under the age of 60 is $5. Meals are served at the Youth Center located at 10909 Oak Street and is open between the hours of 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lunch is served at approximately 11:15 a.m. daily; sign in early to ensure a spot. Guests enjoy tasty meals as well as warm conversation and fellowship. Come by and pick up a monthly menu of meals; a wide variety of delicious, healthy lunches are served. Senior Serv also celebrates the holidays with “party” days each month. In April it will be Friday the 6th.
Tuesday Lunch Bunch
Tuesday Lunch Bunch is a fun program that conducts weekly activities and offers lunches from local restaurants for a $5 suggested donation. Activities include arts & crafts, live entertainment, card games, bingo, tournaments and trivia days. Pre-registration is required by Monday at 9:00 a.m. in order to reserve a lunch for Tuesday. Lunch is offered at $5 suggested donation. First Tuesday of the month, enjoy our birthday celebration and gift card give-a-way.

Senior Grocery Program
The Los Alamitos Recreation and Community Services Department is partnering up with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange county to bring you the Senior Grocery Program. This program allows seniors to take home an assortment of produce, deli, dairy products, and much more for FREE! The program is open to anyone and you do not have to be a resident of Los Alamitos. Distribution time will be approximately from 11:30am-12:30pm here the Los Alamitos Community Center.
We kindly request that you arrive no sooner than 11 a.m. To make distribution fair, each person will get one serving size of groceries per family on a first come, first serve basis. We ask everyone to bring their own bags or carts, so they may carry the groceries home with them. Seconds are allowed if available once everyone has gone through once.
Our next dates are April 3rd and 17th.
Home Delivered Meals Program
The Recreation & Community Services Department volunteers deliver meals to qualifying home-bound seniors five days a week. Meals are provided by Community SeniorServ. For more information, please call SeniorServ at 714-823-3294.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to assist in preparing, serving and delivering meals for the Senior Lunch program. Volunteer opportunities are available Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12:30 pm. Drivers must be at least 18 years old.
