ENHANCED AIRFIELD OPERATIONS ON TAP
IN SUPPORT OF LOCAL AIR SHOW
LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. – Los Alamitos Army Airfield (LAAAF) will be the staging point for one of North America’s premier military flight demonstration teams scheduled to perform at the upcoming Great Pacific Airshow in Huntington Beach on the weekend of Oct 19-21.
Aircraft and support personnel from the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds begin arriving at LAAAF on Tuesday, Oct. 16th, and will engage in flight operations throughout the week and weekend.
Additional military jet aircraft scheduled to perform in the air show – including a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft and a Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker refueling aircraft — will stage out of Los Alamitos. All flight operations are expected to take place during normal airfield hours.
There are no public events at Joint Forces Training Base in conjunction with the air show.
