Mark Chirco currently serves as a Council Member of Los Alamitos. He is a longtime resident of Los Alamitos. Like so many other local families, he moved to Los Alamitos for the great schools and fell in love with the city and its small town charm.
Mark has an undergraduate degree from UCLA and a law degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He has been a practicing attorney for more than 14 years and is employed as a corporate attorney. Mark was a member of the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Commission until he was unanimously appointed to the City Council in December, 2017. Mark is honored to have received the most votes of the six candidates in the November, 2018 city council election and was sworn into a four year term on December 10, 2018.
Mark has also been an AYSO coach for the last three years and is a member of the Los Alamitos School PTA. In addition to serving on City Council, Mark currently serves on the Orange County Library Advisory Board, the Los Alamitos Budget Standing Committee and the Los Alamitos Zoning Code Update Committee and as a Trustee for the Orange County Mosquito Vector Control District.
