The Drive-Up MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach Film and Food Event Series features two different drive-up movies and food truck meet ups each month at the Los Alamitos Youth Baseball Parking Lot (4370 Farquhar Avenue) from 7:00pm-10:00pm. In order to protect public health and slow the transmission of COVID-19, the event is taking place drive-up style. Upon exiting the vehicle, a face covering is required at all times.

A reservation is required for the event- no drive ups without a prior reservation are permitted. Pedestrians and bicyclists are not permitted to enter.

Ticket admission is $10 per vehicle and the price includes a free, themed goodie bag. An electronic or paper copy of your receipt is required for entry. See below for the complete list of showings:

Friday, October 16: The Sandlot (PG)

“A grumpy Grinch (Benedict Cumberbatch) plots to ruin Christmas for the village of Whoville.”

Friday, December 18: Elf (PG)

“After discovering he is a human, a man raised as an elf at the North Pole decides to travel to New York City to locate his real father.”

Event Guidelines

  • An electronic or paper copy of your receipt is required for entry
  • Participants must remain in their vehicle at all times except when visiting the food vendors and to use the restroom facility
  • When exiting the vehicle, participants must wear a face covering AT ALL TIMES
  • Only pre-registered attendees will be permitted- NO DRIVE UPS ALLOWED
  • Gates open at 6:55pm
  • An electronic or paper receipt must be shown upon entry
  • There are no pre-assigned spaces- staff will direct direct vehicles upon arrival
  • Large vehicles will be directed towards the back to ensure all participants can enjoy the event
  • Per CDC and Orange County Health Department guidelines, participants CANNOT view the event from the bed of a truck, on top of their vehicle, outside their vehicle, or from the back of their trunk
  • Vehicles are not permitted to leave the event early, except for emergency purposes only
  • Once the event has concluded, City staff will direct the vehicles to exit the event one row at a time
  • Participants must discard of their own trash and are not permitted to leave trash behind
  • To preserve your vehicle battery, it is encouraged to occasionally turn on your vehicle
