District Based Election Process

Residents in the City of Los Alamitos vote for candidates who run in the district in which they live. Once elected, these City Council Members provide direct representation of the unique population, issues and challenges found within each of the districts. The Council shall elect one of its members to act as Mayor as outlined in the City's Charter.
