Public Works
The Public Works Division is responsible for the maintenance of the City's infrastructure, including:
- City streets, roadway signage, and landscaping
- Performing graffiti abatement for public facilities
- Managing drainage structures
- Performing upkeep of City parks
- Overseeing the maintenance of City-owned traffic signals
The Division is to dedicated to delivering services to the community in a timely, professional manner. We are committed to cleaning, repairing, and improving the City's parks and infrastructure, keeping Los Alamitos safe, clean, and attractive for current and future generations to come.
Engineering
The Engineering Division is responsible for managing, scheduling and implementing the City’s Capital Improvement Program, as well as seeking funding for these projects. Dedicated to helping identify solutions that improve the infrastructure of our streets, the Engineering Division provides technical expertise regarding traffic signals, street lighting, traffic signs, and the issuance of encroachment and wide-load permits.
