Maintenance work on existing sewer systems

The Rossmoor-Los Alamitos Sewer District will be performing maintenance work on their existing sewer systems throughout the City of Los Alamitos. The work will consist of pipe cleaning and manhole repairs. Work is scheduled from June to October 2023. Access to driveways and roadways will remain open during the work. Traffic control will be set up at specific locations as needed. Although it is not anticipated that sewer service to homes and businesses will be impacted from the work, in the event that it is you will be notified prior to a shut off.

September 18, 2023

  • 3-4 week look ahead for the Rossmoor-Los Alamitos Sewer Project: The Rossmoor Sewer District will be installing pavement striping and traffic loop detectors in areas where they performed recent sewer repairs. The asphalt contractor at work is @hardyandharperpaving. No parking signs will be posted on the street 48-hours in advance.

  • 3-4 week look ahead for the Rossmoor-Los Alamitos Sewer Project: The Rossmoor Sewer District will be paving areas where they performed recent sewer repairs. The asphalt contractor performing the work is Hardy and Harper. No parking signs will be posted on the street 48-hours in advance. The following is the work schedule:
        • Thursday, September 7, 2023 – Corporate Center Drive at Lexington Drive, Via El Mercado and a small patch at Oak/Sausalito bend intersection.

        • Friday, September 8, 2023 – Kaylor Avenue (from Toland Avenue to Ball Avenue)

  • 3-4 week look ahead for the Rossmoor-Los Alamitos Sewer Project involves the following streets: Lexington at Corporate Center Drive, Oak Street at Sausalito Street, Toland Avenue, Via El Mercado, Kaylor Street at Toland, Katella Avenue at the intersections of Chestnut Street, Walnut Street, and Oak Street. There will also be work occurring in the adjacent areas of Rossmoor and Seal Beach. The work will consist of pipe cleaning and grouting, manhole repairs, and small segments of pipe replacements. Service to residents should not be affected. However, in the event that there is an interruption, residents and businesses will be notified.
